The city that never sleeps... on my own

My dear, sweet and lovely New York...
It has been one year since we met. One year!! Can you believe it!! The time flew! A lot has happen from finding new best friends that I will share forever this chapter with, new places that I can't forget and much more that I never thought once I would call it home.
A place where I can feel comfortable, confident, happy... well, just staying myself, be who I really am, falling in love with you and somewhere where I just found in myself the person that is inside of me. My mum is always telling me that all of this passion and strong feelings are all her fault but I don't see that way. I understand that as a way of inspiration that I take from her, of a dream that we both have and this year had the chance to live it!
From the beginning we create bonds for life which we know it will last forever!
One thing for sure, you never broke my heart or ever disappointed me and you were just like my expectations. In all of these 3 months I never wanted to leave you behind and never wanted to think how it would been the day that we would move forward in our own ways, that we would follow different paths.
And when that moment arrived between us it was like an arrow in my heart to separate us.
It was sooo hard to say goodbye... It was some though weeks after. It still is...
But now, I'm a much stronger woman capable to leave to any adventure in almost any countries! You taught me so much about life that I thank you from the deepest of my heart.
Now, I'm trying to live my life back here and you're there. Even with all of the news and pictures, and TV shows and movies, it's hard, but I'm dealing with it. With that feeling of taking the first flight back to your arms.
I'm moving on with my life as well as you did.
I hope and wish we can meet again sooner or later if only for a few days or longer, but we will!
Wish to you the best as I wish for me in my new life here.
Hey you!, on the other side of the ocean, I love you but it's time for me to let you go!
With lots of love,
I
P.S: Thank you all who follow all of this memorable chapter of my life! Love y'all.

Remembering 9/11
I just watched this video and had to post for sure, now that is doing 10 years and one year of my trip to New York. With all the movies and news that we're watching today on TV in memory of the 10 years, this is also a great song from Beyoncé's new album, 4, that has been linked to.
It sounds like yesterday... 10 years run sooo fast! I remember this day so well. I still was in vacations from school but about to start, having lunch when everyone on the news started to talk about a plane that crashed in one of the towers of World Trade Center in NY... I thought at the moment that it was fake, that it wasn't real. But, unfortunatly, this was just the beggining of such a huge tragedy! Thousands of innocent people died and not only NY or America but the whole world have changed.
So, let's remember and honor all those affected by 9/11. And all of the heroes including firefighters that helped on that day. Let's keep them in our hearts today.
God bless you all!

(Good)bye New York
My last night in the city arrived and I never thought this will be sooo hard for me... But doesn't mean that I would not have the FUN and the JOY in my favorite place in the world!
So I programmed with some friends to do my last tour in some emblematic places in Manhattan, my last shopping and live the American and New Yorker Christmas spirit.
And the end of the night in the city couldn't be more perfect with a big surprise, right??? Wanna guess?? (Check all the pictures and you'll find out!)
Last night means last talks, last shopping, last pictures, last lightning, last time you can feel to be one of them, last feeling when you see something so wonderful and amazing, before my next time, of course! =)
I know sometimes I can be intensely passionate and even everything I say about this place but I was really happy in that city! And I think it's obvious and you can see that by the photos! I'm really thankful for having this amazing opportunity to live there for these 3 unforgettable months!
And here you have the last pictures taken in and by "The city that never sleeps... on my own"!
Hope you like it!
After this fun in the city with the girls we went to the campus to meet our other friends that were waiting us! Cause the night would last till morning!!!
Well... and here are my last photos already at the airport drinking one of the amazing smoothies by Jamba Juice. This was with no doubt my hardest goodbye ever... saying goodbye to this place was... I have to say I cried like a baby! =/

Oh... I didn't tell you but I had sooo many troubles at the airport with my luggage, OF COURSE!!! And at both airports! Ahahah! But everything ended up well!
Much love,
I

One of our last nights... Party time!
This week I had to take some pictures of our Rita Hall already empty after our dinner! Miss this place!! In the pictures below there are some of my friends, such as Valerie, Kim, Daniele, Shoji, Nico, Filipe, Philippe, Superman...
We had almost all of our friends there to party with us at our finale party! Great!

Paparazzi for one day! Who, what, where!
On my last week in NY I had the chance to watch Gossip Girl cast shooting some new scenes.
It was soo cool! Since was my last week and my last chance to see the cast and something so real about the show, me and Paula missed classes from the afternoon and there we went!!
Where: The New York Palace
Who: Ed Westwick, Blake Lively and some other characters.
What: Filming season 4, episode 14.
I'm leaving you some pictures. Sorry for some bad quality.
Unfortunately I didn't take any picture with them but we had the chance to get inside of the hotel and to know that they are amazing and really nice and if you think they are pretty on TV imagine on real life... even prettier!
